Sepia Saturday: I have broadband!! Yay!

Posted on Saturday, 31 May 2014

I have internettings! I AM truly happy about this even if I do look as miserable as sin in the photo lol. The broadband man came yesterday - Oh I love the broadband man! We now have Fibre in our new home! Yay!

Did you miss me?! I certainly missed you lot! I feel like I've been out of the loop for so long! I'm happy to be back and shall be blogging as usual from now :)

I'm still waiting for my baby brother to come. Poor mum is getting pretty fed up now - hopefully it won't be much longer.

Dad has been super busy redecorating the house. When we moved in, there were yucky grey carpets throughout and the walls were painted a pukey yellow... Dad has since laid down laminate throughout 80% of the house and those pukey walls are now a lovely fresh white.

Black and White Sunday: Snoozing

Posted on Sunday, 18 May 2014

My oh my! It's been quite a week!! I'm shattered! Mum and dad have been super busy painting the living room today and just generally improving the new house.

Mum is also 37 weeks pregnant today meaning that my baby brother could come any day now! We're all hoping it's sooner rather than later - especially poor mum!

Settling into our new house

Posted on Thursday, 15 May 2014

Firstly, let me apologise for not posting in a week! We've been super busy moving into our new house! We picked up the keys on Friday, went to Bristol on Saturday to pack up everything from our old house and on Sunday, loaded it all into a big truck and drove it all back down to our new house. This week we've been busy finding places for all our stuff and just generally putting the house together.

We don't have any broadband installed in our new house yet either so our posts won't be very regular until then. The man is coming to install it on the 30th of this month so we'll be back online then... That's if mum hasn't gone into labour by then! She's into the last month of pregnancy now and is sporting some pretty huge elephant feet.

Speaking of labour, Brian has just laid her fourth clutch of eggs in six months. Poor girl.

Anyway, I must tell you more about our new house! It's brilliant here! I even have my own garden! I've never had a garden before as we previously lived in a coach house. The best thing about having my own garden is that I finally have somewhere to enjoy chomping on my filled hooves without mum and dad complaining about how much they stink.

Mum and dad have been taking me for walks on the Tarka Trail every morning this week. We're very lucky to have the trail running behind our house. It's beautiful and incredibly tranquil.

I think it's fair to say we're going to really enjoy living here :) Oh and did I mention I love my new garden? Hehe

Follow-Up Friday

Posted on Friday, 9 May 2014

Did anyone notice that we completely forgot last Friday's Follow-Up post? No? Oh, good lol. We must have still been recovering from the exhaustive blogging of April's challenge!

This means we'll be going back a little further to cover the posts we completely forgot about!

If this is the first time you've seen one of our Follow-Up Friday posts, it's basically where we wrap up the week by responding to some of our readers comments and questions :)

X is for X-hausted - 28 April 2014

Finley Jayne said: I follow a ridiculous amount of blogs that are cat themed (for some reason, most of the book review blogs I follow tend to have small armies of cats, lol). It's refreshing to see a dog themed blog :) Now following! Stopping by to say 'hi' from the A-Z Challenge!

Yay a new follower! We can't say we're the biggest fans of cats. They're quite terrifying - although we have nothing against the owners :) We're glad you enjoyed our blog and even happier to hear you have added us to your reading list. Thank you!

M. K. Clinton asked: X-cellent post! When are you x-pecting the new baby?

Very clever, we see what you did there ;) My baby brother is due 8th June although we're pretty sure he's going to end up coming a few weeks before. He's measuring above and beyond what he should - and has done throughout the pregnancy. This is mum's first and she began showing at 11 weeks! Mum was born at 38 weeks so she thinks she may give birth around the same time as her pregnancy has been very similar to how her mum's was with her.

Z is for Zzz - 30 April 2014

Taryn said: Nothing cuter than a Frenchie! New to your blog...It's wonderful. Great photographs!

We couldn't agree more with that first statement. Glad you found us and enjoyed the blog. Mum needs to start getting the camera out a bit more again. She's getting too preoccupied with the move and the baby. More attention on me please!

Deborah Taylor-French said: Cute photograph, cute doggie, enjoy a lovely nap and don't mind me hopping on and off. Yes, and congratulations on taking on and completing the challenge.

Thank you, thank you :) We really did enjoy the challenge and we're so proud of ourselves for completing it. We must admit, we did feel like giving up some days. It's so hard to find a good 'bloggable' theme for every letter.

Meet Boris - 1 May 2014

Ruckus Eskie asked That tiny black thing is a dog? I wouldn't believe it either! Happy Thoughtless Thursday! Btw, Boris and Bernie. I like it!

Apparently he was half the size when mum met him the week before. I probably wouldn't have even noticed him if I'd met him then. We really like his name although family have commented that when we're together I look more like a 'Boris' and him a 'Bernie' lol. I think his and his sister's names go together pretty awesome: Bella & Boris.

We love Woolacombe - 2 May 2014

Stacey van horn said: Our dogs like to swim and we are planning to take them for their first trip to the beach soon. We are really looking forward to it. I love smooshed faces and have just fallen for Bernie. He is just too adorable for words.

Give me a good sandy beach any day as long as the tide is WELL out! I'm not a fan of the water at all and I certainly have no idea how to swim - some Frenchies can swim but I doubt I'd be one of them. I hope you enjoy your first trip to the beach - Don't forget the camera! Thanks for that last comment too, you've made me blush :)

Monday Mischief: Monkey Murder - 5 May 2014

M. K. Clinton said: I never believed that you were guilty Bernie! You just look too innocent. It was probably an exploding monkey too! Better yet, it probably pee'd in the utility room before it exploded!!!

Do ya know what?! That's EXACTLY what happened!! ;) That makes so much more sense than what I wrote happened hehe. I shall come to you from now on when I need help with my excuses.

Wordless Wednesday: Sunset Silhouette - 6 May 2014

Anu @petnetiosaid: It looks so peaceful there! - Petnetio Anu

It really is. Most of Devon is in fact. We made the best decision when it came to moving back. This beach is only a 5 minute drive from our house and when the tide is out it just goes on forever.

Apologies for lack of photos today... We're currently moving house!!!

A to Z Reflection

Posted on Thursday, 8 May 2014

This was our first year participating in the A to Z Challenge and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, we're a bit sad it's over!

We think we sailed through it rather successfully. We started off very well, getting most of our letter themes jotted down before the challenge began. We mostly wrote our posts the night before and even managed to get L, M, N and O written in the same day, ready and scheduled well in advance. We did start to flag towards the end (once we hit 'R') and found it quite difficult to find inspiration for our posts but we did it! We survived and we managed to get every post out on the day.

We've discovered a tonne of new blogs in the process and we're pleased to see lot's of new readers finding us too. Thank you all for leaving such lovely comments and feedback on our posts too.

We thought we'd be moving house in the midst of it all but the dates got pushed back which meant we weren't stressing too much over our posts - although we're still waiting to move in now! (Paws crossed it's this weekend).

This challenge has made us think a lot about how we blog and we feel it has brought our blogging on in leaps and bounds. We actually can't quite believe how many daily views we were getting! We got super organised with our posts thanks to a special blogger planner to help with post ideas and for logging the sharing of our content across the different social media platforms. Check out MamaMiss to get your own cute organiser!

A look back at the posts from the challenge:

We look forward to next years challenge!

Monday Mischief: Monkey Murder

Posted on Monday, 5 May 2014

This image just sums up today perfectly. I'm a little late in the day with my post because quite simply... I just can't be bothered. Mum and I haven't done anything productive all day and that's not about to change. I am going to jump on a blog hop however as I've been up to no good...

I've been up to more mischief than usual this week... I broke my very first toy... Or should I say, Wilf and I broke it.

I've never broken a toy before so it came as quite a shock when Monkey's leg popped off, followed by his stuffing falling out all over the floor.

I also pee'd in the utility room again. No reason for it, just felt like it!

Also... Remember I told you about the '1' key that went missing off dad's laptop in one of my previous Monday Mischief posts: Almost Made It!

Well after buying a new replacement key, mum found the original one whilst sorting through the suitcase of clothes yesterday.

See!... I told you I didn't eat it!

We've taken part in another Monday Mischief blog hop hosted by Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Alfie’s Blog and My Brown Newfies
